Olly has dual French / British nationality and speaks English, French and German. He was educated at St Paul’s School, London, and Oxford University (The Queen’s College) from which he graduated with honours in 2000. He also holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School.
Since 2000, Olly has worked in international finance and trading including stretches in London, New York and Singapore. Olly joined commodity trader ED&F Man from university. He rose to become Head of Global Trading and, at 28, was appointed board director of ED&F Man Sugar – a 2,300-employee company with a multi-billion US dollar turnover.
Before joining Woodsford Consulting Ltd as Chief Investment Officer in 2009, Olly went back to school, gaining a Masters in Finance from London Business School, with particular emphasis on macro-economics and corporate finance.
In 2010, Olly founded Woodsford Capital Management Pte Ltd, a fully regulated asset management company in Singapore. He is a director of Woodsford Litigation Funding, a leading funder of large commercial litigation and international arbitration where he serves on its Investment Advisory Panel and is a founder-director of Woodsford TradeBridge, an innovative supplier finance business that targets the UK mid-market.
Olly is a keen runner and footballer and spends most of his spare time keeping his kids occupied and reading all he can on global politics.
